IntraWoven was created as a collection inspired by knitting as a physical structure of interconnection, but also the social connections knitting represents. Say a Grandmother knitting her grandson a scarf, a high-performance athlete (Tom Daley) using knitting as a meditative craft, an expectant mother learning to knit baby clothes, etc. Although historically overlooked as a 'women's hobby', knitting is gaining traction again in popular society. Many are turning to knitting in this era of social media and mental health decline as a way to decompress. What I mean to say is that knitting is something so deeply ingrained with feeling and love, whether a labour of love to another or an act of self-love through its de-stressing effects.

The design on the IntraWoven pendant component to look like a section of ribbed knitting, and when all lined up together they would connect to reveal a width of knitting. Each pendant can be worn as either a necklace or an earring, allowing the wearer to change how they wear the piece. I wanted IntraWoven to be a collection that could be worn many different ways, by all kinds of people, acting as a talisman of self-love and meditative processes.
